Science, a clinical-stage technology company focused on neuroscience research, seeks a Veterinary Technician with laboratory animal experience to help build and scale a focused research program in collaboration with scientists and engineers. You will contribute to animal care, veterinary procedures, and regulatory compliance in a fast-growing environment.

The role requires at least 3 years in a research animal medicine setting, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to work independently

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a research laboratory animal medicine setting.
• Demonstrated judgment and integrity.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory animal regulations and guidelines.
• Proficient in animal handling techniques for multiple species.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Detail-oriented with solid organizational skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to flex schedule including one weekend day.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day veterinary care in collaboration with the Veterinarian.
• Perform routine and specialized veterinary procedures including anesthesia monitoring and surgical assistance.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Follow SOPs for animal care and use.
• Monitor animal health daily and report concerns.
• Manage inventory of veterinary supplies and equipment.
• Participate in facility inspections and continuous improvement initiatives.
