Job summary

Clinvet NY, a global veterinary contract research organization, seeks a Licensed Veterinary Technician to support research operations in a fast-paced setting. The role involves technical procedures, animal care, and data recording under study coordinators and researchers.

The ideal candidate is a NYS Licensed Veterinary Technician with interest in laboratory animal research; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; willing to work early shifts, full-time, with alternating weekends and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Active New York State LVT license is required.
• Laboratory animal or research experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with study activities and technical procedures following established protocols.
• Handle and restrain animals as directed.
• Observe and report changes in animal health, behavior, and consumption patterns.
• Collect specimens (e.g., blood, parasites, microbiological swabs) for analysis.
• Accurately record and maintain study and animal health data.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Prepare and manage feeds and specialized diets.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care.
