Job summary

Solstice Advanced Materials is hiring a Laboratory Technician for the Geismar, LA site. The role performs chemical tests on process and finished product samples, analyzes water samples, and supports quality assurance activities to ensure reliable analytical results.

You will prepare reagents, maintain inventories, and assist in laboratory safety and process improvements while collaborating with Production, Engineering, and other Lab customers. 12-hour rotating shifts are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 12+ hours chemistry coursework and at least 1 year laboratory experience, or 3+ years laboratory experience in a chemical plant environment.
• Ability and willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds and work in a chemical plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs chemical tests and analysis on process and finished product samples following established laboratory methods and procedures.
• Analyzes process, cooling tower, and boiler feed water for proper chemical treatment.
• Samples and analyzes process and product samples as required.
• Performs quality assurance and quality control testing and analyses as required to ensure accuracy and reliability of analytical results.
• Prepares reagents, solutions, and standards as required.
• Monitors and maintains laboratory supply and chemical inventory to assure effective laboratory operation.
