Job summary

SGS in the United States seeks a laboratory technician to prepare samples for analysis following department SOPs, using basic instrumentation and analytical methodologies.

You will perform routine operation, maintenance and calibration of prep instruments, maintain laboratory notebooks, and ensure compliance with HSE policies and ISO 17025/GLP. High school diploma required; 1–2 years of relevant analytical chemistry experience preferred. This role requires accuracy and strict data traceability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in Analytical Chemistry Laboratories preferred.

Responsibilities

• After training independently prepare samples for analysis according to SGS SOPs using department-specific instrumentation and analytical methodologies.
• Performs routine operation, maintenance, and calibration of prep instruments/equipment.
• Inputs and maintains technical information to support laboratory functions/operations.
• Maintains Laboratory Notebook where applicable.
• Must be compliant with SGS HSE policies and adhere to ISO 17025 or GLP regulations.
• Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
• Performs other duties as required.
