Job description

Darigold is seeking a Laboratory Technician for our Portland location. The role involves ensuring that all products' analytical, microbiological, and organoleptic properties comply with product and regulatory specifications.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure all products' analytical, microbiological, and organoleptic properties meet specifications, and communicate test results to Lab Supervisor, Director, and management as necessary.
2. Immediately contact the Supervisor if products do not meet specifications and recommend process adjustments.
3. Collect finished product line samples for testing.
4. Collect raw and pasteurized ingredient samples, ensure testing equipment calibration, and validate testing methods against standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in a science discipline preferred.

Desirable Skills

• Ability to work independently and in fast-paced environments.
• Good communication, planning, and organizational skills.
• Experience performing analytical and microbiological tests with results aligning with standards.
• Basic microbiology knowledge.

Schedule

Wednesday to Saturday, 10 pm to 8:30 am PST, four 10-hour shifts. Schedule subject to change.
