Job summary

Eurofins USA Food Testing in DeSoto, TX is seeking a part‑time laboratory technician to support sample registration, testing, and data entry in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include following quality and safety procedures, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely turnaround of analyses. The ideal candidate will have a science background and strong attention to detail, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in a related science field or AS/BS in Microbiology or Food Sciences.
• Strong communication (oral and written) and attention to detail.
• Proficient in computer usage and basic data management.
• Experience with laboratory documentation and record-keeping.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Register incoming samples and maintain accurate records for quality control and regulatory purposes.
• Enter sample data into the Eurofins eLIMS system accurately and timely.
• Perform laboratory testing on incoming samples and ensure timely turnaround times.
• Verify results and communicate to appropriate personnel.
• Identify process issues and propose improvements to supervisors.
• Maintain readiness to respond to client and coworker inquiries.
• Promote the company image through sound and ethical business practices.
