Job summary

Terracon seeks an entry-level field/laboratory technician to perform site testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel.

You will communicate with project managers and client representatives, transport samples to the lab, and prepare reports. The role involves safety adherence, equipment maintenance, and potential progression to higher responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months experience required.
• ACI certification within 90 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Safety certifications completed.

Responsibilities

• Assist on tasks and perform basic testing and observations.
• Provide clear documentation of findings and results.
• Communicate information to the Project Manager and discuss data accuracy for submittal.
• Submit documentation and communicate results as directed by the Project Manager.
• Progressively take on training and increasing responsibilities.
• Maintain assigned equipment and follow safety rules.
