Job summary

Agropur Laboratory Technician I is responsible for supporting production by analyzing a variety of samples using different test methods; performing microbiological and/or physical tests on raw material, in-process products and finished products.

Daily tasks include receipt of samples, determining methods by reviewing procedures and specifications, testing samples, documenting and reporting results, and cleaning and stocking the work area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Knowledge of GLP, GMP, SOP, and HACCP is beneficial.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills with MS Excel, Word, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemistry and/or physical sample preparation and testing.
• Operate, calibrate, clean and perform minor maintenance on laboratory equipment.
• Analyze and report laboratory data, with verification by senior staff.
• Enter data into logs, spreadsheets and reporting systems.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and restock supplies.
• Follow TP, SOP, GMP, MSS and GLP instructions.
