Job summary

Clean Earth, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Technician for the 2nd shift (12:00 PM – 8:00 PM) in California. This role focuses on analyzing waste stream samples, maintaining lab equipment, and data entry, in support of Veolia's North American operations.

Starting pay is $24.00 per hour. Basic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in chemistry or biology, ability to work in a team, strong communication, and physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or biology required.
• Ability to work in a team and in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods during lab tests.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to complete 40-hour OSHA training with 8-hour refresher courses.

Responsibilities

• Follow permit requirements to collect and test compounds and samples using approved methods.
• Enter quantities, volumes and analytical results into waste management software.
• Perform QA/QC analytical screening as dictated by permit; follow SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety standards in handling chemicals.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.
