Job summary

Gossner Foods, Inc. is seeking a dependable Laboratory Technician to support quality and laboratory operations. The role involves performing microbiological and chemical testing on finished products, raw materials, and other samples to ensure quality and food safety standards are met.

You will operate laboratory equipment, maintain accurate testing records, and help ensure a clean and sanitary laboratory environment. An opportunity to obtain State certification in antibiotic testing is available.

Qualifications

  • Previous laboratory experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in food manufacturing, dairy processing, microbiology, chemistry, or quality assurance is a plus.
  • Must be dependable, self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing and laboratory environment.
  • Must be able to repetitively lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Strong written communication and documentation skills.
  • Basic computer skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform microbiological and chemical testing on finished products, raw materials, and other required samples.
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain laboratory equipment and testing instruments.
  • Accurately document test results and maintain laboratory records.
  • Follow established testing procedures, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, sanitary, and safe laboratory environment.
  • Identify and communicate abnormal or out-of-specification test results to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with sample collection, preparation, and testing as required.
  • Obtain and maintain State certification for antibiotic testing, as applicable.
  • Follow all company food safety, quality, and workplace safety policies.
  • Perform additional laboratory or quality-related duties as assigned.

Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to support our quality and laboratory operations. This position is responsible for performing microbiological and chemical testing on finished products, raw materials, and other samples to ensure established quality and food safety standards are consistently met.

The Laboratory Technician will operate laboratory equipment, maintain accurate testing records, and help ensure a clean and sanitary laboratory environment. The selected candidate will also have the opportunity to obtain State certification in antibiotic testing.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform microbiological and chemical testing on finished products, raw materials, and other required samples.
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain laboratory equipment and testing instruments.
  • Accurately document test results and maintain laboratory records.

Schedule
  • Graveyard, Monday to Friday, rotating weekends.
  • 12:00 am - 8:30 am
Pay
  • Training pay starts at $19.55/Hour with a potential to reach $21.55/Hour after meeting all skill levels.
