Job summary

Eurofins USA Food Testing is seeking a Laboratory Technician I to support quality testing and analysis. The role operates Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor with authority to address deviations from procedures while upholding company guidelines.

Required are a high school diploma and preferred degrees in Microbiology or related fields; experience in plating and sample prep is a plus. Excellent benefits, 401(k), and paid vacation are offered.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required.
• AS or BS Degree in Microbiology, Food Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or related field preferred.
• Experience with plating, plate reading, and sample preparation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.
• Follows management system requirements including Quality Manual, SOPs, Local Work Instructions and Methods to ensure ISO/IEC 17025/AOAC ALACC compliance.
• Adheres to health, safety, and environmental regulations; maintains a clean, safe work environment.
• Registers incoming samples and maintains accurate records for quality control tests.
• Inputs sample data into the eLIMS system accurately and promptly.
• Performs laboratory testing on samples efficiently and within turnaround goals.
• Verifies results and forwards them to the appropriate personnel promptly.
• Identifies process difficulties and proposes solutions to the supervisor.
