Job summary

Astrix in Princeton, NJ is seeking a Lab Technician to join a global leader in personal care and household products. This entry-level role offers hands-on lab work, including product formulations, pH measurements, titrations, viscosity testing, and data reporting.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Chemistry, Biology, or a related science, has wet chemistry experience, and is eager to learn in a fast-growing consumer goods environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry, Biology or related Science.
• Hands on laboratory experience preferred (can be from school).
• Preference is for experience with wet chemistry (pH, viscosity, titrations, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Prepare product formulations, and lead reformulations.
• Perform lab testing of products including measure pH, titrations, specific gravity and viscosity, perform stability tests, product performance evaluation, fragrance evaluation by test panels, record keeping and housekeeping.
• Analyze and report data to research.
• Conduct all applicable testing relating to product care in the product group.
