Job Description

NOVA Engineering is seeking a Construction Materials Lab Technician (with Concrete Testing Experience) to be based at the Forest Park GDOT laboratory.

These candidates will provide quality assurance/quality control testing for various transportation projects. Commercial experience is highly beneficial. Successful candidates must perform on-site observations/inspections, collect samples according to GDOT, ACI, and ASTM standards, perform specific QA/QC tests on construction materials and transportation components, and maintain detailed records of observations, inspections, and test results.

Job Duties:

• Conduct and document tests on various construction materials with precision and attention to detail. Collaborate with experienced colleagues and work independently to ensure test results are accurate, complete, and ready for review.
• Ensure all laboratory equipment is well-maintained and properly calibrated, supporting efficient lab operations and accurate testing processes.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• At least 2 years of experience testing concrete
• GDOT QCT level I Certification is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
