Position Overview

The Lab Tech is assigned to the night shift, with a pay rate of $21.17 per hour. Benefits start on the hire date, with additional incentives such as a perfect attendance award and an annual bonus.

Main Responsibilities

1. Conduct and analyze laboratory testing on processed flour products.
2. Focus on productivity by coordinating with the QA manager.
3. Ensure quality by inspecting inventory, lab results, and verifying packaging, lot numbers, logs, etc.
4. Maintain a safe work environment by leading safety initiatives and participating in safety inspections, LOTO procedures, confined space entry, CPR, and safety training.
5. Evaluate work areas, respond to alarms, and assist with housekeeping.
6. Train new employees.
7. Follow all HAACP procedures to ensure product safety and quality.
8. Operate and control flour packaging machines and assist with additive processing.
9. Record data, secure samples, and perform process control tests.
10. Make or suggest adjustments to maintain operating parameters.
11. Keep the plant clean and organized.
12. Ensure scales are accurate and consistent.
13. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
14. Maintain a food safety culture and comply with all safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Certification in relevant areas and mobile equipment operation.
• Willingness to train in packaging and additive mixing.
• Ability to work in a team and safety-conscious environment.
• Some mechanical knowledge to recognize operational failures.
• Good communication skills.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, overtime, and different schedules as required.
