Job summary

SGS Consulting in Boston seeks a chemistry lab technician to support formulation work. You will weigh and mix solid and liquid chemicals, perform filtration and circulation, and assist in chemical purification and characterization in the fabrication laboratory.

You will record, organize and communicate experimental data, submit and manage photolithography and metrology requests, maintain lab areas and equipment, and ensure high safety performance while collaborating with a small team.

Qualifications

• College, Associates or B.S. degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 0-3 years’ experience in chemistry lab.
• Experience in fabrication laboratories is a plus.
• Self-motivated and ability to work in a team environment.
• US citizen or green card holder.

Responsibilities

• Prepare formulation samples by weighing and mixing solid and liquid chemicals.
• Perform filtration and circulation process for formulation samples.
• Conduct purification of chemicals (precipitation, ion-exchange).
• Record, organize and communicate experimental data.
• Submit and manage photolithography and metrology job requests.
• Maintain lab areas, storage areas and equipment.
• Ship chemicals.
• Maintain high safety performance.
