BioSpace is seeking a Chemistry Lab Technician to support the Chemistry team with daily laboratory operations. The role focuses on calibration verification, maintaining a clean and compliant lab, and assisting analysts across stations. You will follow SOPs and quality systems to ensure accurate results.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Analytical Chemistry, has basic computer skills, and is ready to work in a regulated environment, potentially with LIMS experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or better in Analytical Chemistry or related field.
• Analytical laboratory experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of quality control systems is a plus.
• Entry level computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet.
• Experience with Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine verification of calibration of equipment and instruments and keep logs up to date.
• Maintain clean, orderly, and safe laboratory work area.
• Comply with SOPs, ISO 17025, cGMPs, cGLPs, A2LA and QC guidelines.
• Maintain familiarity with applicable equipment, systems, and SOPs.
• Provide assistance to analysts across workstations.
• Maintain glassware cleanliness and proper storage.
• Keep inventory of standards, reagents, and materials in the lab.
• Restock laboratory supplies as needed.
• Dispose of laboratory preparations and waste appropriately.
• Dispose of completed samples as needed.
• Assist with other duties and special projects as assigned.

Position Summary

The Chemistry Lab Technician will be responsible for assisting the Chemistry team (Analysts and Management) on daily tasks related to the Laboratory functioning activities.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform routine (daily) verification of the calibration of equipment/ instruments such as Analytical Balances, pH meter, Conductivity meter, and any other that requires it. Keep log records up to date.
• Maintain clean, orderly, and safe laboratory work area.
• Complies with company policies and all applicable SOPs; complies with ISO 17025, cGMPs, cGLPs A2LA requirements and Quality Control Guidelines.
• Maintain familiarity on use of all applicable equipment, systems, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Provide assistance to all of the analysts in all workstations.
• Maintain all glassware clean and in the proper location for its use.
• Keep inventory of Standards, Reagents and materials received in the Lab.
• Keep and restock the Laboratory supplies as needed.
• Make disposal of Laboratory preparations/waste as needed.
• Make disposal of completed samples as needed.
• Assist with any other duties, special projects, as assigned.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry or related science field.
• Analytical laboratory experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of quality control systems is a plus.
• Entry level computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.
• Experience with Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) is a plus.
