Job summary

Akkodis is seeking an Entry Level Lab Technician for a 6 Months contract position with a client located in Alameda, CA. The role supports the Complaint Investigations Lab, investigating returned glucose meters, strips and sensors, and documenting findings in the system.

Second shift hours are 1:30 PM to 10 PM. Requires a HS Diploma or GED, proficient computer skills, ability to read and follow SOPs, and good documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED with technical experience.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
• Experience in Medical Device/Biotech industry preferred.
• Ability to follow written SOPs and maintain good documentation.

Responsibilities

• Unpack boxes safely and sort returned products by product lines.
• Investigate returned products to resolve customer complaints about glucose meters, strips, and sensors.
• Document complaint investigations in the Complaint Handling System.
• Use troubleshooting equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, test fixtures, microscopes) to complete investigations.
• Perform routine maintenance on quality records and ensure testing equipment validity.

Job Title : Entry Level Lab Technician in the Complaint Investigations Lab

Location : Alameda, CA (94502)

Duration : 6 Months with possibility of extension

Pay Range: $28/hour - $30/hour on w2 (without benefits); the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location and other factors.

POSITION IS SECOND SHIFT WITH HOURS FROM 1:30 PM TO 10 PM.

Entry Level Lab Technician in the Complaint Investigations Lab

The Technician will be responsible for:

• Unpacking boxes safely and sorting the returned products accordingly by product lines.
• Investigating returned products to resolve customer complaints regarding their blood glucose meters, strips & sensors.
• The Technician will document complaint investigations in the Complaint Handling System.
• The Technician will also use troubleshooting equipment like, multi-meters, oscilloscopes, test fixtures, microscopes, etc. to complete the investigation.
• Perform routine maintenance on individual quality records and ensure equipment used for testing is within validity.

Must Have:

• Proficient computer skills to navigate Internet programs used, basic Microsoft Office skills and be able to read, write and comprehend English.
• Experience in Medical Device / Biotech Industry with a Technical Background is preferred.
• Knowledge of Electronic Troubleshooting is preferred.
• Ability to work in a team setting is a plus.
• Ability to follow written work instructions of SOPs is required.
• Good documentation skills are a must.
• Good computer skills are essential for this job, since data entry of investigation results is a primary part of the job.
• Ability to focus while performing repetitive and routine investigations is a must.
• Great fit for workers with Inspection and Quality experience.
• Minimum education required is H.S. Diploma or equivalent (such as GED) with technical experience.
• Recent college graduates with a Bachelor's degree are an ideal fit for this entry level position
