Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Field Service Technician in New York City, NY to install and service medical systems, performing proper system installations and hardware/software upgrades. The role includes completing regular preventive maintenance, handling repair calls, and maintaining thorough service records.

The candidate will manage travel and communications per the weekly schedule, prepare accurate expense reports, and ensure compliance with QMS/EMS and FDA regulations.

Qualifications

• Associates or technical degree required (or relevant experience).
• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering preferred.
• Exceptional troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Experience with medical devices is preferred.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• Ability to interface with multiple groups to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform system installation and hardware/software upgrades on medical systems.
• Handle service repair calls and complete preventive maintenance.
• Provide complete service records for QM System submissions.
• Efficiently manage travel and communications per weekly schedule.
• Provide accurate business expense reports.
• Support QMS, EMS, and other regulatory requirements.
• Comply with FDA regulations and company policies.
• Maintain positive communications with all stakeholders.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job description

Akkodis is seeking Field Service Technician in New York City, NY. Ideally Looking for someone who have experience performing proper system installation, conduct system hardware and/or software upgrades, handle service repair calls, and complete regularly scheduled preventive maintenance service on medical systems.

Pay Range:

$26/hour - $28.50/hour. on w2 The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Responsibilities:

• Primary responsibility is to perform proper system installation, conduct system hardware and/or software upgrades, handle service repair calls, and complete regularly scheduled preventive maintenance service on medical systems.
• Provide complete and accurate service records for submittal to Quality Management System.
• Efficiently manage work related travel and relevant communication based on weekly schedule set forth by Field Service Manager.
• Provide accurate and regular business expense reports, adhering to
• Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
• Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
• Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Associates or technical degree required (or relevant experience)
• Bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering is preferred.
• Exceptional troubleshooting ability
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds
• Mechanical assembly, able to work with tools
• Previous experience in a medical device company preferred
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills
• Ability to interface with multiple groups in the organization to resolve service issues.
• Overall positive and optimistic attitude.
• Technical writing skills are a plus
• Works well independently
• Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit
• Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business
