Akkodis is seeking a Quality Technician for a 4+ Contract position with a client located in Huntsville, AL

Pay Range: $30/hr - $35/hr. The rate may vary based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Position Responsibilities

The Quality Technician is responsible for customer, supplier, and internal quality initiatives which include product inspections to IPC 610 standard, ISO 9102 FAI, Source Inspection, and customer audits/surveys.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for improvement of key process metrics
• Certified in IPC 610 class 3 workmanship standards
• Apply, interpret, and explain identified IPC defects for defect reporting
• AS9102 FAI preparation and presentation
• Interpret and understand IPC Workmanship standards
• Lead improvement activities involving Lean principles and tools

Education and Experience

• Minimum High School Diploma
• Minimum 5 years’ previous experience and demonstrated proficiency as IPC inspector of circuit card assemblies.
• Experience with Source Inspection preparation and presentation
• Internal auditing experience

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and understand assembly drawings for the purpose of inspections
• Demonstrate computer competency, including Email, Excel, and Power Point
• AS9100 or ISO9001 QMS experience
• ESD Program Knowledge
