Kelly Services is seeking a Laboratory Technician in Akron, OH to support a premier manufacturing client. The role offers an attractive hourly pay and a tangible path to full-time employment within a hands-on R&D lab environment.

Responsibilities include handling materials, operating lab equipment, conducting tests, and ensuring safety and quality. Onsite work requires stamina, attention to detail, and collaboration with management and internal customers.

• 1-2 years of relevant experience in material handling or laboratory work preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Proficiency with laboratory equipment.

Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $25.00 per hour

Shift: Monday through Thursday, 7am - 3pm

What’s a typical day... You’ll be:

• Handling and weighing raw materials using analytical techniques

• Operating mixers, mills, and industrial cure presses

• Preparing rubber specimens with hand tools

• Operating laboratory processing and testing equipment

• Performing physical tests and chemical analyses

• Maintaining lab safety and quality standards

• Communicating proactively with management and internal customers

• Troubleshooting lab equipment and processes

• Learning and implementing lab computer software/programs

• Assisting in multiple lab areas as trained

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have a high school diploma or GED

• Possess 1-2 years of relevant experience in material handling or laboratory work
