You will govern testing procedures, review QC, calibrations, and maintain instrument integrity while guiding trainees.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a clinical laboratory field.
  • 4 years of clinical laboratory experience.
  • Certification in CAP/ASCP categories listed.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review Quality Control Monitors monthly.
  • Evaluate CAP Survey Performance per guidelines.
  • Investigate and prepare Proficiency Error Reports.
  • Ensure CAP inspection readiness via service line tasks and inspections.
  • Inform leadership of quality issues and escalate as needed.
  • Create and review procedures and policies within the service line.
  • Verify test result accuracy; review QC and analyzer performance.
  • Review calibrations and maintenance procedures.
  • Test specimens accurately; ensure proper labeling and storage.
  • Maintain a safe, clean workspace; mentor trainees.
  • Validate trainee/staff competency; provide real-time feedback.
  • Inventory supplies and QC materials; monitor reagent lots.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
