Job summary

Olympic Medical Center on Washington’s North Olympic Peninsula seeks a patient‑focused team member to support outpatient registration, test ordering, specimen processing and courier services in the Laboratory. The role includes answering calls and coordinating efficient courier transport.

Required BLS, and if performing phlebotomy, WA Phlebotomist Certification within 90 days of hire. A valid WA driver’s license and clean driving record are also necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Washington State Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification licensure filed with WA State DOH within 90 days after phlebotomy training, if duties include phlebotomy.
• When assigned courier duties: Valid Washington driver’s license required.
• Driving record in compliance with OMC standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service and courier service to patients served by Olympic Medical Center Laboratory.
• Perform outpatient registration, test ordering, and processing of outpatient laboratory specimens.
• Perform phlebotomy as needed and support hospital and outpatient services.
• Answer customer service calls and coordinate courier duties, ensuring timely transport of specimens.
