Job summary

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a part-time Clinical Laboratory Assistant I/II to join the Central Laboratory Services. The role supports specimen processing, documentation, and reporting with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Technology or related health care discipline.
• Licensed or eligible to practice as Clinical Laboratory Technician/Technologist in New York State.
• Healthcare laboratory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, and document clinical/research specimens accurately.
• Ensure proper accessioning, preparation, and routing to testing areas.
• Support distribution of laboratory reports through multiple channels.
• Maintain records to support laboratory operations and compliance.
• Assist with quality control, quality assurance, and routine equipment tasks.
• Monitor supplies and assist with inventory management.
• Collaborate with professionals to support efficient workflows and service.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting turnaround times or customer service.
