Job summary

The Chemours Company is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operation of the Separations and Control Labs in Starke, FL and Offerman, GA. You will supervise technicians, schedule tasks, and ensure calibration and maintenance of lab equipment while maintaining safety standards.

Reporting to the Sales Leader, this role requires four+ years in laboratory operations, strong communication, and proficiency with MS-Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years’ experience in laboratory operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly skilled in the use of standard desktop applications (MS-Office).
• Safety conscious. Awareness and implementation of mine safety practices and environmental and safety standards specific to the laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to MSHA Safety and Environmental rules and Chemours policies.
• Train and manage laboratory staff to ensure reliable lab results.
• Schedule technicians to Separation Lab and Control Lab to meet objectives.
• Supervise use of XRF and other analytic equipment; troubleshoot assay problems.
• Ensure timely turnaround of production sample analysis for Minerals processing areas.
• Coordinate lab work on routine and non-routine samples and special projects.
• Review production test data daily to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain lab inventory to avoid interruptions in operations.
• Coordinate calibration, maintenance and repairs of lab equipment.
