Job summary

Saint Luke's South Hospital in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to lead our clinical laboratory operations under the Laboratory Manager. The role oversees daily operations, develops metrics, and ensures efficient workflow to support patient care.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate degree, will obtain Phlebotomy certification within 6 months, and has 2–4 years of relevant experience. Eligible for full-time schedule and leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• Phlebotomy Technician (ASCP) certification within 6 months.
• 2–4 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily laboratory operations.
• Establishes and monitors metrics for staff performance.
• Makes decisions to optimize workflow and patient care.
• Serves as subject matter expert for lab analyses and instrument operation.
• Hires, trains and supervises staff; manages scheduling/timekeeping.
• Evaluates staff performance and maintains technical proficiency.
