Job summary

Saint Luke’s South Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to lead daily laboratory operations under the direction of the Laboratory Manager. This role focuses on efficient workflow, quali ty metrics, and staff development to support exceptional patient care.

Qualified candidates will have an Associate degree, a Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist credential, and 2–4 years of supervisory experience. This full-time position is based in Overland Park, KS, with shift variations as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS/CLS) required.
• 2–4 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily laboratory operations.
• Establishes and monitors metrics for staff performance and quality.
• Makes operational decisions to optimize workflow and patient care.
• Serves as subject matter expert for clinical lab analysis and instrument operation.
• Hires, trains, and supervises staff; ensures scheduling and timekeeping.
• Evaluates staff performance and maintains technical proficiency.

Saint Luke’s South Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to join our comprehensive laboratory operations under the direction of the Laboratory Manager.

• M-F 0600-1430 (flexible and can vary upon staffing needs) May be required to work night shift or weekend shift to maintain minimum staffing levels.

• Oversees daily operations.

• Establishes and monitors key metrics for accurate and timely work of staff.

• Makes operational decisions to facilitate optimal workflow and patient care services.

• Serve as subject matter expert for clinical laboratory analysis and instrument operation.

• Hires, trains and supervises staff.

• Manages scheduling and timekeeping for staff.

• Evaluates staff performance.

• Maintains strong technical skills for area of oversight.

• Associate’s degree required
