Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network in Bethlehem, PA, seeks a Clinical Laboratory Supervisor to lead the laboratory team and ensure compliance with accrediting bodies.

You will plan daily schedules, mentor staff, and oversee instrument operation to maintain high-quality testing across sections. The ideal candidate holds MLS/MT/MLT (ASCP) or eligibility, with at least two years of clinical lab experience and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• MLS/MT/MLT (ASCP) or eligible.
• Minimum two years clinical laboratory experience and two years supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the assigned staff and manages selection, training and ongoing competence.
• Ensures policies meet requirements of accrediting agencies.
• Oversees maintenance of instrumentation and troubleshooting resources.
• Ensures quality testing per lab policy and licensing/accrediting rules.
• Assists in daily work scheduling and staffing adjustments.
• Ensures proficiency testing meets accrediting standards.
• Maintains effective communication within the department.
• Delegates duties to keep the section running in supervisor's absence.
