Job summary

UW Health Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL is seeking qualified personnel for a medical laboratory role. The position emphasizes ASCP MT/MLS certification, required state-of-the-art lab competencies, and a commitment to accurate patient results within a 7:00am-3:30pm schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college/university required.

• ASCP categorical certification or MLS with certification within 6 months acceptable; four years of experience post-certification required; CE documentation must be maintained.

Work Schedule:

100% FTE, Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm, you will work at UW Health Swedish American Hospital 1401 E State St.

Additional components of compensation may include:

• Evening, night, and weekend shift differential

Qualifications

Work Experience

• Successful completion of annual clinical, age and job specific competencies and skill verification tools Required

Licenses & Certifications

• MT (ASCP) or MLS (ASCP) or equivalent certification. Required
• ASCP categorical certification for the department of responsibility or current MLT certification with MLS certification within 6 months is acceptable. Four years of experience after certification required. Certification must be maintained by submitting appropriate continuing education documentation to certifying agency. Required
