Job summary

UW Health Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL invites applications for a Histotechnologist/Technician role within the laboratory team. 100% FTE, Monday–Friday, day shift with rotating start times, on-site at 1401 E State St.

This position supports diagnostic services by preparing tissue specimens for analysis. Qualifications include an associate or bachelor's degree in Biology or Chemistry or completion of a NAACLS-accredited histology program; ASCP HT/HTL certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor degree in Biology or Chemistry OR NAACLS accredited Histotechnologist/Histologic technician program.
• Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) ASCP certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate or baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college/university with a major in Biology or Chemistry –OR- successful completion of a NAACLS accredited Histotechnologist or Histologic technician program. Required

Licenses & Certifications

• Histotechnician (HT) (ASCP) or Histotechnologist (HTL) (ASCP) certification preferred. Preferred
