Job summary

UW Health, based in northern Illinois, is seeking a Histotechnologist/Histologic technician to join the laboratory team at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford.

This 100% FTE, day-shift role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with rotating start times, and includes a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Associate or baccalaureate degree in Biology or Chemistry required.
• NAACLS accredited Histotechnologist or Histologic technician program preferred or required as substitute to degree.

Job description

Work Schedule:

100% FTE, Monday-Friday, Day shift, with rotating start times. You will work at UW Health Swedish American Hospital 1401 E State St.

Additional components of compensation may include:

• Evening, night, and weekend shift differential
• Overtime

Qualifications

• Associate or baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college/university with a major in Biology or Chemistry -OR- successful completion of a NAACLS accredited Histotechnologist or Histologic technician program. Required

Licenses & Certifications

• Histotechnician (HT) (ASCP) or Histotechnologist (HTL) (ASCP) certification preferred. Preferred
