Job summary

National Blood Testing Partners seeks a dynamic Laboratory Supervisor to provide direct supervision and daily oversight for the laboratory department and staff. You will guide, support, and manage a team of Laboratory Scientists to ensure operational excellence and high-quality testing results.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in laboratory science or medical technology, strong knowledge of standards and regulations (FDA, CLIA, CMA), and leadership experience in high-performing lab teams.

We are seeking a dynamic leader to provide direct supervision and daily oversight for our assigned laboratory department and staff. In this role, you will guide, support, and manage a team of Laboratory Scientists, ensuring operational excellence and high-quality testing results.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree; chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology
• Scientific and technical knowledge from current sources, such as the AABB/FACT/CAP Standards and relevant guidance related to FDA, CLIA, and CMA, both state and federal
• Knowledge of laboratory processes, inventory requirements, and quality systems
• Knowledge of state and federal laws, rules, regulations and voluntary accrediting standards related to the operation of clinical laboratories and blood banks
• Basic computer skills and experience with computer programs such as LIS, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of records as required by state and federal laws and regulations
• Ability to make decisions consistent with policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines
• Proven leadership in directing high-performing laboratory teams and managing daily departmental operations.
• Preferred: Five years or more laboratory or clinical training or experience in high complexity testing
• Professional Certification Preferred: MT, ASCP, AAB, AMT

You will be required to comply with governmental regulations and strictly observe privacy and security related policies, procedures, and practices to preserve the integrity and confidentiality of medical and other sensitive information pertaining to donors, patients, research subjects, and staff.

You will be required to enter areas where other individuals work with human blood; potential may exist for unanticipated exposure to bloodborne pathogens by splash or spill.
