Job summary

National Blood Testing Partners is seeking a Laboratory Scientist to perform and interpret clinical laboratory tests in a regulated environment. You will ensure accuracy by applying proper controls and documenting results in accordance with guidelines.

The role emphasizes adherence to FDA, CLIA, CMA standards and confidentiality, with opportunities for training and career development. Shift: Tue–Fri 11:30 PM–9:00 AM with differential pay, benefits start on day one.

Qualifications

• BA or BS in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology.
• Knowledge of laboratory best practices and compliance with regulatory standards.

• Shift Time: Tuesday - Friday -- 11:30 PM to 9:00 AM (With Shift Differential Pay)

National Blood Testing Partners is a subsidiary of National Blood Testing Cooperative. Our purpose is to provide accurate testing results to allow medical professionals the data needed to care for their patients. This position is responsible for performing and interpreting clinical laboratory tests that require complete adherence to industry and equipment manufacturer guidelines.

OVERVIEW

• Performs all laboratory tests necessary for diagnosis and treatment of patients.
• Responsible for reporting results which are accurately substantiated by use of appropriate controls.
• Performs and demonstrates proficiency and understanding of routine procedures for all areas of the laboratory

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High complexity testing
• Intermediate trouble shooting skills on trained testing platforms
• Basic computer skills and experience with MS Office (Word, Excl, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
• Ability to maintain records in accordance with procedures and regulations
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of records as required by state and federal laws and regulations
• Scientific and technical knowledge from current sources, such as the AABB/FACT/NETCORD Standards and relevant guidelines related to FDA, CLIA, and CMA, both state and federal
• Knowledge of state and federal laws, rules, regulations, and voluntary accrediting standards related to the operation of clinical laboratories and blood bank
• Knowledge of laboratory processes, inventory requirements, and quality systems

EDUCATION

BA or BS in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution (Required)

No certifications required.

You will be required to enter areas where other individuals work with human blood; potential may exist for unanticipated exposure to bloodborne pathogens by splash or spill.
