Job summary

Capital Health System, Inc. is seeking a laboratory support technician to prepare specimens, perform accessioning, and support clerical tasks across lab sections.

You will follow CLIA, CAP, HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control practices while ensuring accurate labeling and timely specimen distribution. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, one year of related experience preferred, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: One year of related experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive specimens and verify integrity per labeling policy.
• Process specimens including centrifugation and aliquoting.
• Input and retrieve patient information in LIS/HIS.
• Respond to STAT specimens promptly.
• Maintain infection control and sanitary work area.
• Perform clerical duties and supply management as needed.
