Job summary

Plan A Health in Norman, OK seeks a Clinical Laboratory Supervisor for Specimen Collection and Processing to oversee daily phlebotomy and high-volume specimen workflows. You will lead staff, uphold CAP/CLIA standards, and drive quality improvements in a community lab setting.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with supervisory experience; ASCP certification is desirable. You will mentor teams, manage equipment and supplies, and collaborate across departments to ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Supervisory experience and proficiency with word processing and spreadsheets.
• Experience as a medical technologist or related field preferred; ASCP certification desirable.
• Strong leadership, communication, and process management skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staffing, workflow, and quality assurance in specimen collection and processing.
• Provide leadership to coordinators and staff, ensuring compliance with CAP, CLIA, and safety standards.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate team members; maintain SOPs and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Manage equipment, supplies, and communication between departments to support efficient workflow.
• Assist in hiring, onboarding, and resolving operational issues, and serve as a resource on specimen collection best practices.
