You will conduct waived and moderate tests, ensuring accuracy under leadership direction while leveraging your knowledge across microbiology, hematology, and chemistry. The role emphasizes safe handling of samples, operation of lab instruments, and timely reporting of results.

Qualifications

• Must have foundational knowledge of laboratory principles across disciplines (microbiology, hematology, chemistry).
• Familiarity with sample processing and result interpretation.
• Awareness of chemical/biological safety and equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Align lab procedures with SOPs to ensure accurate, timely reporting.
• Provide patient care through clinical correlation of results and rapid notification of critical values.
• Maintain major automated equipment with calibration and troubleshooting; contact vendors as needed.
• Perform calibration and quality control procedures and keep records of parameters.
• Participate in proficiency testing and review results with laboratory leaders.
• Assist in evaluating and validating new procedures and equipment for current use by physicians.
