Job summary

Keck Hospital of USC is seeking a Laboratory Services Manager to supervise all sections of the Clinical Laboratory and manage operations, staffing, and budget. You will drive quality assurance, performance improvement, and interdepartmental collaboration to maintain high standards of care.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive experience in acute care settings, and a commitment to excellent patient service.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefers Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 5 years experience in an Acute Care Facility setting and 2 years in a senior or supervising capacity.
• Experience with computer systems, inventory control/budgeting, quality assurance, performance improvement and scheduling.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Oversees laboratory operations and department budget.
• Manages staff, schedules, and coverage in emergencies.
• Ensures adherence to policies and accreditation requirements.
• Develops and maintains Performance Improvement activities.
• Provides orientation and conducts staff evaluations.
• Coordinates interdepartmental collaboration and service planning.
• Ensures timely test results within defined turnaround times.
