Job summary

Blood Bank of Alaska is seeking a Laboratory Services Manager to oversee daily operations in the Product Quality Control Laboratory. You will ensure donor test results and QC activities meet CLIA, AABB, and FDA standards, while mentoring laboratory personnel.

You will coordinate with the Director of Laboratory Services, schedule staff, manage performance evaluations, and maintain documentation to ensure compliance and quality across all lab processes.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• GDP, GLP and GMP knowledge.
• Ability to lead and mentor staff.
• Detail oriented and organized.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily workflow of the laboratory.
• Maintain competency to perform LC procedures and ensure adequate coverage.
• Schedule staff and manage on-call system.
• Conduct performance evaluations and disciplinary reviews.
• Ensure timely QA/QC reporting and documentation.
• Oversee BECS SOPs and laboratory compliance.
