Larkin Community Hospital Palm Springs Campus is seeking a Director of Laboratory Services to oversee all administrative, operational, and personnel aspects of the Laboratory Department. You will lead staffing, quality assurance, regulatory readiness, and budgeting while ensuring compliant, high-quality patient care.

Ideal candidates hold a Florida supervisor license, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and several years of supervisory experience, with MLS/MT certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, MLS, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biological Science, Chemical Science, or related field that satisfies Florida requirements.
• Master’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field (preferred).
• Current and unrestricted Florida Clinical Laboratory Supervisor license; supervisor license must include required specialties.
• Current Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist license, as applicable.
• MLS(ASCP) / MT(ASCP) or MT(AMT) certification preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years of progressive clinical laboratory experience.
• Minimum two (2) years of laboratory supervisory/management experience.

Responsabilités

• Oversee staffing, workflow, quality assurance, and regulatory readiness of the Laboratory Department.
• Manage budgeting, equipment, supplies, and productivity; drive performance improvements.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, Joint Commission, AHCA, CAP, and other surveys; uphold accreditation standards.
• Collaborate with Hospital Administration and other departments to meet regulatory and patient-care goals.
• Lead staff development, competency assessments, and supervision of laboratory personnel.
