Job summary

HCA Healthcare Laboratory Services seeks an experienced Laboratory Services Manager to lead hospital rapid-response laboratories and oversee core lab operations. You will coordinate policy development, staff supervision, and quality improvement initiatives across departments to achieve service excellence.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree, Florida supervisor licensure in multiple areas, and at least 3 years of supervisory experience in a clinical laboratory setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree required.
• State of Florida Supervisor's License in at least three areas (Blood Bank/Immunohematology, Chemistry, Hematology, Histology, Microbiology, Serology/Immunology) required.
• 3+ years of supervisory/management experience in a clinical laboratory setting required.
• Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 per applicable law or regulation (exemption possible).

Responsibilities

• Oversees staff and department performance to ensure adherence to policies, timelines and regulatory requirements.
• Reviews and updates department policies annually; develops new policies when needed.
• Monitors in-services and staff meetings; ensures compliance with training requirements.
• Develops systems for quality assessment data collection, reporting and corrective actions.
• Manages resources, payroll, supplies and budgets; tracks key performance indicators.
