Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) seeks an experienced Laboratory Operations Administrator to provide executive oversight for Laboratory and Pathology services. You will direct budgets across general lab, pathology, blood bank, and outreach, while guiding staffing, equipment selection, and policy development to ensure efficient, compliant operations.

You will collaborate with the Medical Director to align administrative and clinical leadership, drive quality and financial performance improvements,

Qualifications

B.S. in health-related field; MBA preferred.
Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Knowledge of statistics, profit and loss and budgets.
Experience with strategic plans for surgical services.
Experience with Epic electronic health record.

Responsibilities

Oversee the administrative function of the laboratory, including budgets for general laboratory, pathology, blood bank and outreach.
Determine staffing levels and actions relative to workflow, productivity and personnel decisions.
Evaluate/purchase lab equipment in collaboration with leadership.
Ensure accreditation criteria are met and participate in quality and compliance programs.
Partner with the Medical Director as the administrative dyad leaders of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology.
Develop, implement, and maintain lab policies and procedures.
