University of Kentucky Laboratory Services is seeking a Laboratory Scientist to join a CAP-accredited, state-of-the-art CAP-Accredited Laboratory serving a Level I trauma center. The role includes specimen processing, rapid testing, and reporting culture results within a high-demand hospital environment.

The position requires a BS, is full-time, on-site in Lexington, KY, with various shifts and a deadline to apply by 11/09/2026. Excellent multitasking, communication, and teamwork are essential.

Competenze

• BS degree required.
• No experience required.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Mansioni

• Process specimens and triage samples.
• Process orders and perform rapid and stat testing.
• Gram stain and report positive blood cultures.
• Perform multiplex and routine molecular assays.
• QC media and monitor/stock supplies.
• Report digital culture images.
