Job summary

University of Kentucky is seeking a Medical Lab Technician for the Kentucky Clinic Lab in Lexington. The role involves pre-analytical support, specimen receipt and processing in a CAP-accredited laboratory, working in a fast-paced academic medical center.

Requirements include an AS degree or equivalent, no experience required, and the ability to perform phlebotomy, computing tasks, and provide excellent customer service. Shift is Monday–Friday with some early mornings or evenings.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide general laboratory receipt, processing, and throughput of patient specimens while adhering to HIPAA requirements.
• Support other clinical laboratories within the Enterprise and provide customer service for internal and external customers.
• Operate in a team-oriented environment and assist in problem-solving, troubleshooting, and multi-tasking.
