Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Biomedical Laboratory Research Technician at Carolinas Medical Center - Morehead to perform laboratory research with minimal supervision and assist in experiment design.

You will oversee chemical analyses, guide staff on procedures, and contribute to data preparation for publication, while supporting primary investigators in a 40-hour weekly, 1st shift role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 3 years of related scientific experience preferred.
• Biological research experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and directs all aspects of chemical analyses required in the department, including basic science and clinical projects.
• Assists other laboratory staff with the completion of analytical procedures.
• Teaches theoretical and practical aspects of chemical analyses to other staff members.
• Oversees the laboratory environment, such as, safety procedures, record logs, ordering of supplies.
• Teaches others how to use equipment, and schedules the use of the equipment to complete experiments.
