Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Lead Tech in Charlotte, NC for the University City Laboratory. The role includes bench and desk work with a 36-hour work week, rotating shifts, and on-call duties about every six weeks.

You will ensure quality, safety, and accreditation standards across the section and supervise workflow. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree with MT(ASCP)/MLS/HTL/CT(ASCP) certification or equivalent, plus relevant lab experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with MT(ASCP)/MLS/HTL/CT(ASCP) certification or equivalent is required.
• Clinical lab operations experience and adherence to accreditation standards.
• Ability to supervise workload and ensure timely reporting of results.

Responsibilities

• Ensures implementation and maintenance of quality, efficiency, and safety meeting accreditation standards (CAP, AABB, TJC).
• Tracks and resolves issues, checks process accuracy and clerical results before reporting.
• Assigns work and evaluates workload, delegating as appropriate to ensure timely completion.
