Advocate Health Care is seeking a laboratory researcher for the Carolinas Medical Center site in Charlotte, NC. The role involves performing laboratory research with minimal supervision, aiding in experimental design, and supporting data preparation for publication.

You will oversee chemical analyses across basic science and clinical projects, guide staff, and ensure proper safety, documentation, and equipment scheduling within a dynamic laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• 3 years of experience in related scientific field preferred.
• Biological research experience preferred.
• Ability to calculate and formulate chemical solutions; experience with pertinent equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and directs all aspects of chemical analyses required in the department, including basic science and clinical projects.
• Assists other laboratory staff with the completion of analytical procedures.
• Teaches theoretical and practical aspects of chemical analyses to other staff members.
• Oversees the laboratory environment, such as safety procedures, record logs, ordering of supplies.
• Teaches others how to use equipment, and schedules the use of the equipment to complete experiments.
