Description:The position involves assisting and training Pathology Residents in gross room techniques.Responsibilities include gross/microscopic photography and macroscopic description of gross anatomic features.Obtain biological samples for flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry.Review patient clinical information such as scans, X-rays, and lab results.Perform gross examination and dissection of large/complex specimens and small biopsies.Prepare tissues for histological processing.Experience with specimen fixation, receipt, and labeling is preferred.Copath experience is preferred, but training is available on site.Travelers must float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals.Two supervisor references are required.The candidate must meet the outlined experience requirements.Compensation and benefits will be discussed upon offer.This role will not require floating or call shifts.
