Job summary

IDEXX is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Portland, OR to lead a team of Laboratory Technicians and drive safety, quality and timely test results in a fast-paced diagnostics lab. You will balance people leadership with hands-on technical work, using automated analyzers and microscopes to support animal health across our reference laboratory network.

You will manage schedules, optimize workflow, and ensure SOPs are followed while coaching staff to reach performance goals and career growth

Qualifications

• Supervised 5+ employees in a fast-paced environment.
• Operations leadership experience from any industry acceptable.
• Experience working in or with a laboratory preferred; handling lab tests is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Laboratory Technicians in clinical departments.
• Organize staff schedules, coordinate workflow, monitor costs and metrics.
• Run lab tests with automated analyzers and microscopes, read and release results per SOPs.
• Lead as a business and people leader for the lab and line of business.
• Provide coaching and development to team members to meet business goals.
