Job summary

Providence Swedish Edmonds is seeking an experienced laboratory supervisor to oversee technical and operational aspects of the clinical laboratory. You will ensure compliance with accreditation standards and lead staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations to maintain high-quality care.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Medical Technology or related field and applicable national certifications, plus several years of post-degree lab experience under a pathologist or senior medical

Qualifications

• Must have Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Sciences, or related field.
• Must obtain applicable U.S. licensure/certification at hire or be currently certified.
• 3 years of post-baccalaureate clinical lab experience under supervision of a pathologist or board-certified medical scientist.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical and operational supervision and direction for the clinical laboratory.
• Ensures compliance with accreditation, licensing, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
• Manages staffing, scheduling, evaluations and counseling; budgets input; oversees job functions.
• Supports the department and organization in achieving mission and quality metrics.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Sciences, or related field

Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification

National Certification from American Society for Clinical Pathology
