Job summary

Providence Swedish Edmonds is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to provide technical and operational leadership for the clinical laboratory. You will ensure staffing, scheduling, and adherence to safety and accreditation standards, while supporting budgeting and policy development.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Sciences and appropriate national or state certifications, plus several years of relevant clinical lab experience under supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Sciences, or related field.
• 3 years of full-time clinical laboratory experience in the last 6 years.
• Supervision under a pathologist or board-certified medical scientist.
• Certification/licensure as required by state/national bodies.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical and operational supervision and direction for the clinical laboratory.
• Maintains departmental policies, safety and infection control standards.
• Ensures adequate staffing, scheduling, evaluations, and counseling.
• Performs essential job functions of a Medical Technologist and contributes to budgeting.
