Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Section Supervisor Laboratory to lead the laboratory section, ensure procedures are performed, recorded, and reported, and uphold CAP/CLIA/FDA/OSHA/AABB standards while fostering a safety culture.

You will oversee staff performance, implementation of quality improvement, and effective communication with diverse teams. No travel required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.
• MLS, MLT, or ASCP Hematology technologist certification is required or STATE MLT certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead the laboratory section to ensure procedures are performed, controlled, recorded, and reported with excellent customer service.
• Ensure compliance with CAP, CLIA, FDA, OSHA, AABB and other regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate personnel using defined job descriptions and evaluations.
• Manage operations for best outcomes and maintain safety culture.
• Promote quality improvement and participate in quality assurance activities.
• Establish clear objectives and goals for the work team.
• Communicate effectively with a variety of audiences, verbally and in writing.
• Oversee human resources management, retention, performance, and staff availability.
